Funding Account
Published Jul 9, 2026 · Updated Oct 16, 2026
The funding account is your USDC account on AlphaFox. Deposits land here first; from here you buy credits, pay for membership, or transfer to a trading account to trade. Go to: Account → Funding account.
The left side of the page shows your Total balance with three buttons — Deposit, Transfer, and Withdraw — and the right side lists your Funding events. The balance is read from the chain; click the refresh icon next to it to update it now.
AlphaFox creates and custodies your funding account and AlphaFox trading accounts, and withdrawals only go out from the funding account. Exchange API connections work differently: those funds stay in your own exchange account. Details are in the risk notice.
Before you start
- Transfer and Withdraw need an existing trading account. Until you have one, a note under the buttons points you to Trading account to create it.
- On a brand-new account the deposit window may show “Creating your trading account”. You don’t need to do anything; refresh the page once it finishes and the deposit address appears.
Deposit
Open the deposit window
Click Deposit. The window has a USDC tab and a USDT tab, each with your dedicated address and QR code.
Send on Arbitrum One
When you withdraw from an exchange or wallet, choose the Arbitrum One network, pick the coin that matches the tab, and paste the address shown.
Follow deposit progress
Deposit progress at the bottom of the window walks through Sent → Confirmed → Credited (USDT adds a “To USDC” step). Funds usually arrive about 1 minute after confirmation; “Added to your Funding Account” means you’re done. You can close the window at any time — the deposit still arrives.
Only USDC and USDT on Arbitrum One are accepted. Any other network or token can lose the funds.
| Coin | After arrival | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| USDC | Credited to the funding account directly | — |
| USDT | Swapped to USDC automatically, then credited | Adds one extra gas fee; the window asks for at least 10 USDT; transfers and trading inside AlphaFox use USDC only |
Still nothing? After 10 minutes of waiting, the window prompts you to check that you sent USDC or USDT on Arbitrum One to the address shown. If it says the conversion is incomplete, the funds are still at your deposit address — contact support to finish the swap.
Transfer between funding and trading accounts
Open the transfer window
Click Transfer. The window shows From and To; use the swap button between them to change direction. With more than one trading account, choose the target or source account.
Enter an amount and confirm
Type an amount (or click Max), check the fee and estimated receipt, then click Transfer.
Track it
The window shows the funds’ path and the state of each step. Closing it won’t stop the transfer; balances update when it lands.
| Direction | Fee | Minimum |
|---|---|---|
| Funding → Trading | Free | 9 USDC per transfer |
| Trading → Funding | Cross-chain fee from a live quote, usually about 0.2 USDC, plus a small variable network fee; a first withdrawal may cost an extra 1 USDC | Shown in the window once you enter an amount |
Trading → Funding moves USDC back to Arbitrum through Circle’s CCTP. On-chain settlement decides the final fee; the estimated receipt in the window is an estimate, not a locked price. If no fee estimate is available, submission is paused — click Refresh estimate and try again. A submitted transfer has not necessarily arrived; wait until the funding event shows Succeeded before your next step.
Withdraw to your own address
Open the withdrawal window
Click Withdraw to open “Move funds out”. It starts on the Withdraw USDC tab.
Enter the amount and destination
Enter the amount to debit and an Arbitrum address you control (an exchange deposit address such as Binance works). It cannot be your trading account’s own address. The window shows the fee and the amount you’ll receive.
Confirm and verify
Tick “I have checked the network, destination, and amount”, then approve with your Passkey, Authenticator, or an emailed code. After “Withdrawal submitted”, the window keeps tracking it; “Arrived at the destination address” means it’s done.
| Item | Rule |
|---|---|
| Fee | Flat 0.1 USDC; you receive the amount debited − 0.1 USDC |
| Minimum | 1 USDC |
| Verification | Enroll a Passkey or Authenticator first. An account with only a verified email can use emailed codes, but the first withdrawal to a new address needs a Passkey or Authenticator |
| Other tokens | Switch to Withdraw other tokens, choose USDT or enter a token contract address; no platform fee |
If you haven’t enrolled any security factor yet, the window says “Enroll a security factor before withdrawing” — click Go to security settings to open Security.
On-chain transfers cannot be reversed. Check the destination address and network character by character; funds sent to a wrong address cannot be recovered.
Funding events
Funding events on the right records every movement: deposits, swaps, transfers between the funding and trading accounts, withdrawals, credit purchases, rebates, and platform distributions. Filter by Event type and Status.
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Pending / Processing | Still in progress — just wait |
| Succeeded | Settled |
| Failed | Did not complete; the funds stayed in the original account |
| Needs reconciliation | Sent but not confirmed; the platform checks it manually |
Money the platform owes you, such as rebates, shows as “Awaiting distribution” first and “Distributed” once it reaches your funding account; amounts under the payout floor show “Below minimum”.
Funding wallet security upgrade
AlphaFox has a new generation of funding wallet. Once you complete the security upgrade, your funds are protected by AlphaFox, and the funding page shows that your AlphaFox funding wallet has completed its security upgrade.
If your custody wallet is an old one, a notice at the top of the page asks you to upgrade. An old wallet takes no deposits or new trading accounts, and its strategies cannot be started, restarted or edited; it can only withdraw, stop or delete strategies, and upgrade. The upgrade runs at Account → Funding wallet security upgrade:
- Handle what the page lists: stop running strategies and close their positions, close positions, cancel open orders, and sell spot assets. The page cannot see running TWAP orders, so stop them in the trading terminal first.
- Check the transfer plan. All funding-account USDC moves to the new wallet; each trading account’s USDC is gathered and withdrawn to the new wallet’s funding account, with one Hyperliquid withdrawal fee per account; the page lists the amounts.
- Tick the confirmation that balances under 1 USDC stay in the old wallet and cannot be recovered, then select Start upgrade.
Once started, the upgrade cannot be undone and continues if you close the page. If the outcome of a step cannot be confirmed, the page says it needs a person, and support follows up.
After the upgrade, do not send funds to the old wallet address. Funds sent there are not shown and are not forwarded to the new wallet.
Where to buy credits
Membership and hourly strategy billing are paid in credits: 1 USDC = 1 credit, minimum 1 credit, and credits cannot be turned back into USDC. You buy them with funding-account USDC from the “Credits” figure at the top of Account → Membership, where you can also turn on auto-recharge. Rules: Membership.
